Stanford Dragon Boat

Since 2003, Stanford Dragon Boat has been serving the Stanford University community as a dedicated athletic-cultural student group devoted to perfecting the arts of dragon boating. Stanford Dragon Boat is an affiliated team of the California Dragon Boat Association (CDBA) and competes year-round in dragon boat competitions across the West Coast of the United States. Some of the major races that annually feature on the Stanford Dragon Boat schedule include: CDBA College Cup, the Arizona Dragon Boat Festival, and the San Francisco International Dragon Boat Festival.
Our team is open to all undergraduate and graduate students enrolled at Stanford University of all backgrounds – Stanford paddlers have raced around the world before and after their tenures with Stanford Dragon Boat in a variety of teams ranging from high school clubs to U24 Team USA. From paddling endurance races to running track sprints, the Stanford Dragon Boat team completes tasks as a cohesive unit with boba in one hand and sandwiches in the other. Since 1996, Lincoln has been producing and nurturing some of the best youth paddlers on the West Coast. We have over 20 CDBA Mixed A Championship titles, 2 Dragon Boat BC Junior Mixed Championship titles, and 4 IDBF Club Crew World Championship titles. We prioritize developing students into responsible young adults by reinforcing our core values of dedication, resolve, community, and respect.
