CDBA Regional Dragon Boat Regatta
This is the first official race that starts up the race season for all local teams. Held at the quiet waterway of Paragon Point in Belmont, California, CDBA teams come out for a day to test their off season training on the local competition.


CDBA Youth Race
Once voted one of the top fresh water fishing destinations in the nation, Lake Merced in San Francisco, California is the race course for the nation’s largest high school dragon boat program. Each year local and out of town high school teams come to this historical site to take part in what is currently the largest high school youth race in the U.S.

CDBA Sprint Dragon Boat Regatta
Held at the pristine manmade waterway of Quarry Lakes in Fremont, California; local dragon boat teams come together with local outrigger teams for a day of racing. The sprint races are only 250 meters, covering half the distance from the traditional 500 meters, but at twice the speed and intensity.

San Francisco International Dragon Boat Festival
Held on the same grounds of the 1939 World Fair and a former home of our proud naval force, Treasure Island provides our largest race one of the most beautiful race courses in the nation. In addition to the backdrop of the Bay Bridge and the skyline of San Francisco in the foreground, spectators are provided an unobstructed shoreline giving them the perfect view of one of the most competitive dragon boat races in North America.

CDBA College Dragon Boat Championship
The CDBA’s newest edition to reach out to all age groups interested in the sport of dragon boating. Held at Lake Merritt in Oakland, California, college teams from all over the state duke it out in largest collegiate race in the U.S.
